SAN ANTONIO, Texas, August 21, 2023 —  DMCA has filed a lawsuit against U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) in the Western District of Texas court. The lawsuit is filed on behalf of several DMCA clients who are awaiting a decision on their I-601A, Application for Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver. The suit aims to hold USCIS accountable for the growing delays in processing unlawful presence waivers, which are essential to becoming a Lawful Permanent Resident. This issue is not only affecting our clients but also the lives of other immigrants. The extended waiting period for the processing of provisional unlawful presence waiver applications has left many people without legal status and in a state of uncertainty.

The delays in processing unlawful presence waivers are a major concern for immigrants and their families. It is important for USCIS to take immediate action to address the issue and expedite the processing times. At DMCA, we firmly believe in holding USCIS accountable for any actions that may be impacting our client’s cases and are ready to zealously advocate for all immigrants.
